What have your local neighbourhood police team been up to? |
||
Good Evening to you all,
Our team, as always, have been busy across the East Locality. From our new base at Aldridge Fire Station we are attending various locations, across the wards we cover on the East Locality. Our many duties have included the below –
Reassurance patrols of the canal towpaths between Aldridge, Walsall Wood & Brownhills at the weekend, engaging with local residents out & about.
Addressing school parking issues reported to us by local residents & counsellors. This afternoon we have attended Blackwood Primary in Streetly to conduct joint parking patrols with Walsall Council Civil Enforcement Officers (CEO’s). We covered the entrances at the front & rear of the school, engaging with parents/carers and children around safe & appropriate parking. We have another joint patrol planned next week at Cooper & Jordan C of E Primary School, Aldridge.
Foot and mobile patrols around Brownhills West, listening to local residents concerns around off-road bikes, showing a presence in the area & keeping out observations for them.
Targeted patrols of McClean Way, Pelsall, where, on Monday 15th September, there was a robbery of pedal cycles from two local youths. In relation to this we engaged with other local youths around being vigilant and considering a safer, less secluded route to travel around the vicinity.
High visibility patrols in Aldridge Village Shopping Centre, engaging with shops and stores to deter & prevent incidents of shoplifting & antisocial behaviour.
Conducting thorough CCTV trawls across our patch, with regard to local crimes that we are investigating, including shop lifting, criminal damage, harassment and antisocial behaviour incidents.
PCSO bus patrols across our patch, engaging with bus drivers and youths around the impact of acting in an antisocial manner on the buses and at bus stops to the wider community.
Liaising with local housing officials, such as WHG, Green Square Accord and Midland Heart to solve tenants concerns by conducting joint visits & taking action to alleviate them.
PCSO patrols of Brownhills High Street, where four youths were encountered acting antisocially in & around Subway. They were spoken with and their details gained, some potentially false, however, as they were known to attend a local High School, contact was made with the designated safeguarding lead there to ascertain parent/carer details.
Police officers on our team conducted seven stop searches and a male was dealt with for drug offences.
Attention paid to –
The BP Foley Petrol Station, Beacon Hill with regard to reports of regular bilking & shop theft.
Pelsall High Street & the Commons around shoplifting, off road bikes & vehicle crime.
Aldridge Airport & Mcdonalds in Rushall for reassurance presence & engagement.
Doe Bank Park in Pheasey with regard to recent youth antisocial behaviour.
If you have any concerns or information about any of the matters detailed in this message, please get in touch via 101 or WMP online webchat. Any reports will be treated confidentially. Crime can also be reported via Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or visiting the website.
